Service DeliveryMEDF-Parsa has delivered basically two types of programmes. One with regular planning funded by its stakeholder's viz. DDC, BSM, BiCC and Elam Helvetas. The regular services provided to SYOB/GED and Product Sub-Contracting clients (PSC). The regular services are fundamentally of two types again: Basic enterprise service and Specific enterprise services.

Apart of that, MEDF-Parsa is glad to acknowledge that the FUND has also started Skill Development and Employment in Informal Sector (SEIS) project supported by Helvetas Nepal in partnership with skill Nepal, in Parsa District. This SEIS project is an up scaling of Elam ongoing activities by adding short term skills training program.

The goal of the project is to contribute to lasting peace and economic prosperity in Nepal through effective skills training and employment of disadvantaged young women and men.

 

Basic Enterprise Service – 2067/68

Service Delivery
The delivery of basic enterprise service has been continued on demand basis. The demand for the basic services is increasing by clients. The basic services benefited to SYOB/GED clients in the district of Parsa. The services delivered are ESP service orientations to GED clients,ESP service orientations to SYOB clients, Business growth Orientation, business orientations to SYOB clients, business planning to GED clients and business planning to SYOB clients. Likewise, the basic enterprise services covers selling skill, book keeping, market and market linkage, HIV/AIDS/Health, credit need assessment, life skill training etc.

The demand for some basic enterprise services are ever high, e.g. ESP service orientation, business orientation and business plan, etc. There is the fundamental entrepreneurial skill that the participants need to have for business start up or growth. Hence, the number of first 5 services are performed at little higher number than later services. As discussed above, the later services are very specific to the entrepreneurs that are provided on need assessment and on demand only.
